Art about ArtHaving always loved art history, often I will engage in conversations with an artist from the past, perhaps from the European Classical or Renaissance periods, and more often from early Modernism. How can an artist not be inspired by the grace of Degas' Bathers, the elegance of Rodin's watercolor drawings of dancers, or the evocativeness of the women of Matisse, Gauguin or Picasso? Interpreting these human subjects in clay is a welcomed challenge, and the titles will usually offer you the key to open each door.
